About LK

LK Dachshunds was founded in 1991 by Lisa and her sister Kim Brockman. It is currently in the hands of Lisa and her husband, Michael Young. Since the inception LK has produced numerous champions and finished additional dogs, purchased from other breeders.  All of the dogs are house dogs, which includes individual love and attention. Any dog used for breeding is tested to ensure normal eyes and pedigrees are studied to make every attempt to avoid genetic health issues.

Puppies don't arrive at LK to produce profit or compete for records. For LK, puppies are well planned out ventures, which come with a commitment to find good homes or keep them here. The first priority, in the LK breeding program, is good temperament, followed closely by good health, soundness and type.
